Share a little-known "Did you know...?" fact!

Did you know mimic stance at one time mimic'd every time a proc hit a mob? So an AE proc that hit 6 mobs would get mimics from pet 6 times (total 7 procs).

It was a glorious week to be a BST.

did you know there is a certain level 65 dwarf right outside Erudin who does next to nothing dps and is the perfect mob to level your defense and combat skills?

Did you know the Clockwork Gnome model borrows from Dwarf animations rather than Gnome? The proof is in the mid-air roll when jumping:

Did you know small race males have functional Bard animations? The females have none. I wonder if this is an indicator that Halflings were being considered for the Bard class early on in the game's development. It's more believable and lore-friendly than the thought of a Gnome or Dwarf Bard.

After digging deeper, I found several additional monsters with functional archery animations. There's not much rhyme or reason to it (Minotaurs and Gnolls have the animation, but Lizardmen and Imps don't). Here's a gallery showcasing a few of the monsters in action:

On an unrelated note, can you believe the Burynai model has still never been used in Shards of Dalaya? What a travesty!

Did you know that The Eternal Well is a repurposed version of the original character select zone used from the Classic era through Velious? @fxattack mentioned almost 3 years ago that it's possible to see some kind of altar room if you peek through the wall in that zone. That altar is where good/neutral characters would be displayed at the character select screen. The dark, magma-filled cave we know as The Eternal Well is where evil characters would show up. I believe the game determined which one your character would use based on your deity/race combination, a unique feature not seen at any subsequent character select screen.

Here's a screenshot of the good/neutral side taken from an angle that shows the evil side (The Eternal Well) in the background:

To see it in action, here's a video by Secrets of EQEmu fame showcasing both areas of the zone:

Before 2.5 there was a rare chance for your character to pop into that room when trying to get to the Eternal Well fight.

That's dope. I would like to commend whoever had the idea to reuse the character creation room as a boss event!

Did you know that fishing doesn't have a unique animation? Instead, it uses the generic 1HB/1HS melee animation slowed down by the client! Compare the following gifs ― one showing an Ogre casting a fishing line and the other showing her meleeing with a blunt weapon:

Did you know all races that share animations with Humans are capable of carrying out the four special Monk combat animations? Check out these renditions of Round Kick, Dragon Punch, Eagle Strike/Tiger Claw, and Flying Kick from races that normally would never have access to them:
