Rangers have pretty awesome aggro for tanking. I've never had a problem doing 3-4 pulls in EC/HHK/FR/FG before all the new zones came out. You'd need better gear / AAs than if you were a pally/sk though. :tinfoil:

Crippling Strikes do indeed affect bows.

I'd like to give a (once) end-game ranger's point of view on this: I'm not exactly sure how hard the quest is, but 50 mana and an insta-cast, near-unresistable root is pretty sweet. I agree that its going to be the most useful in emergency/unique situations, which shouldn't really be happening...

I haven't been around for the archery change, but duoing a Ranger + Shaman was pretty sweet stuff with the ranger tanking.
