I'm having this same problem. Anyone have a permanent fix? I've tried DoProperTinting=TRUE in the .ini , and deleting all texture cache... didn't work. Happens every time I zone, but if I open the dye menu, and click reset, it fixes it until I zone again. Thanks.

another thing to check ... Also check Control Panel/Sounds Audio Devices, click the Audio tab, and in the "Midi music playback" dropdown, select the default "Microsoft GS Wavetable..." . I use KX drivers for my SB live and had to do this to get Midi working in EQ and UO.
