Faction locking seems like a cool idea in case of accidents/malicious people. Of course, the old-fashioned alternative is never giving out your info and basically saying "I don't trust you" to your guild or certain members.

Ya I had pretty much the same experience (but at less AAs). Crovax, you will likely have a horrible time getting relics from pugs. There are many reasons why guild raids are a much better source than pugs (even though they may be tempting at times).
