Face the facts and ending of a dying server If people have no desire to raid because everything is dead more often then it is not, then you will continue to lose your player base. So I implore you to either create more content in that Tier range or do something about the spawn timers to allow more of it to be up within a given week spawn, or even cycling the zones of the spawn timers that are decreased. But something needs to be done. And we all can agree it is only getting worse. It is not getting better.

We had a pretty good balance of targets for most of the upper guilds until recently... I'll let you figure out what changed that... but onto topic... I think that another solution would be to add in more claims or content. As far as content goes, upper thaz releasing as a T11-T12 would theoretically give 4 more claims and 8-9 more raid targets, which would work out ok. We had a big clog right at T10 a while back, and lower thaz really helped with the congestion. One of the reasons I think thaz is effective at releasing it is because each wing is a claim, allowing for plenty of content claims. Which leads into adding claims. I have heard that sanctum was split into inner and outer now, which is nice for that, Spires would be difficult to split... but Tur'ruj.. Perhaps try splitting it into separate claims by clusters of tribes, to help ease this sort of problem. I'm not an expert on Tur'ruj by any means, and can't really offer advice on where drawing claim lines in Tur'ruj would be best, but adding claims might be another solution beyond changing timers, or in addition to changing timers.

I propose a system where everyone can benefit from all of the mobs on the server.

Lets start off by giving every guild 100 points per week on mobs they're allowed to kill.

Kill 10 T10 mobs and you're not allowed to kill any additional mobs for the week.

Doing this will give guilds more mobs and everyone can benefit.
 
I think a really good idea would be instanced content as competition around those tiers is pretty terrible and having others mobilize faster to take mobs is really inconvenient for my scheduled raid times. There's mobs constantly dead that I need loot off and having to actually mobilize is annoying.

Perhaps we can set up a schedule to share mobs too. Who wants to do a wiki or a spreadsheet, it's probably the most fair way to split out mobs. The server is based in Europe right, they're used to communism.

part of the issue w/ the congestion in t9-12 mobs is that there is a european guild in this range. Because of the eurotimezone advantage the europeans are able to kill the most desirable targets, leaving the US timezone guilds to scuffle for the scraps
 
I do not see this as being that big of an issue. There is currently more T9+ content than there has ever been. If you want to kill mobs get the timer(s) and be proactive. IF you cannot get enough support from your guild then its a guild issue. Maybe instead of farming old content you try something new. I think there are some highly contested monsters but I do not see it as highly contested content. There are monsters that stay up for days. Then there are monsters that die the same day every week.

Do you think this is some kind of game you log onto to kill dragons for lootz? Get with the program you fuck, tracking timers (which is the ultimate immersion) and logging on when the game tells you to is your new life.

I agree, having to compete for content is old and outdated. Even with euros constantly stealing content due to socialism taking care of them from cradle to grave, people who work to put food on the table and protect the world should be able to get loot and slay dragons in peace. This is why SoD should instance content so I don't have to interact with other people and farm tur'ruj basement in peace away from others who would dare try to take my content.

I've been trying to get a bow for weeks but all the high tier bow droppers are dead due to people camping timers. Perhaps Nebi's idea makes sense and guilds should have to make a choice so others can have a fair shot at content. It's for the good of the server that others are limited so I can benefit more.

The vast majority of these mobs aren't even five day timers but 4 or 4.5.
 
This was bound to happen. It's a game where no new top end content has been released pretty much since I started playing it 4 or 5 years ago with the exception of the high end OG stuff.

I logged in the for the first time in like a year a while ago, and saw so many scrub alts with 4.3 weapons on the athica steps I shook my head and logged right back off.

This game is so incredibly top heavy now it's going to topple and sink. Slaar nerfed countless items in the name of "balancing new content around them" but where is this new content? I don't mean to trash talk this game but man how do you dudes log in week after week to farm the same 6 top tier mobs over and over with no new goals to set?

Ps - stop killing the shout of agony mob. I want to get my shit too.

The short answer is the top guild doesn't do this. Most of the content goes untouched while the new tier 11-12 fights get prioritized over them. Tier 11 is the new tier 9 of the server where nobody can progress past it because they don't go do new things. Right now some of the lower tier guilds use lack of targets as an excuse and that will never change unless 1-2 people step up in the guild and push for trying new things.

edit: To be fair resurgum has been trying new stuff lately and even killing somethings which is always nice to see.
