After escorting him to the Captain? Yea, didn't work. Tried to talk to the Captain too, nada.

Your flags are messed up. Hail Rinbo back in shadowdale and he'll autorepair them. If that doesn't work, petition and the next time we're on at the same time I'll come fix your guy.

Ryei - Junior Researcher.

Well, i tryed to talk to Rinbo today (never knew he had any quests before), and he doesnt give me any quests...

he just replys to me when i hail him... " Rinbo Strongfoot says, Hello, Ryei! Pleasnt day, isn't it? " even tho i tryed hailin him when night falls, and now at 4 am gametime.

its either i am bugged, or he is. id like some info tho :) if i bug completed the quest without even talkin to him, cool, but if not, i need the fact xp! =P

Btw, Thanks for makin council follow up quests.

If you're already seen Rinbo run off to whisperling I am pretty sure the one in shadowdale still responds as normal to you. However you need to seek out the one in whisperling at night to continue. (AFAIK)

Character name: Olue
Rank: Junior Researcher

I have done all of the quests I can think of except "Bits and Pieces" and "Home is Where the Heart is" and I still can't even get the "Brother Mine" quest.

Completed quests:
Harthuk Herding
Study the Zaranth
Dealing with the Snobolds
Stalking the Widow
Graverobbing
Deepocean Exploration
Gnoll Wisdom
Spirit Ore
Study the Locals
To Play in the Forest (yes I even completed this one)
Engage the Zaranth
A Bug on the Wall
Mass Graverobbing
Spirit Call

Active quests:
Gods and Mortals
Until Death Us Do Part
Bits and Pieces
Home is Where The Heart Is

Can anyone see anything I'm missing? Thank you.

You're missing two of the gnoll quests ("Spirit Call" and "Mercy"), but neither of those is a prerequisite for Brother Mine. If you're a Junior Researcher and you did enough of Harthuk Herding, you should have access to Brother Mine. When's the last time you tried talking to Evinthas?

this is what happens when I hail Evinthas

[Wed Oct 03 18:52:06 2007] You say, 'Hail, Councillor Evinthas'
[Wed Oct 03 18:52:07 2007] Councillor Evinthas says, 'Ehhh...' Evinthas sighs, shivering in his robe. 'Greetings, Olue. Welcome to the far north.'
[Wed Oct 03 18:52:07 2007] - [D1] Is it really that bad here?
[Wed Oct 03 18:52:07 2007] - [D2] I seek advancement.
[Wed Oct 03 18:52:07 2007] - [D3] Is there any work for me to do?
[Wed Oct 03 18:52:10 2007] You say, 'Is there any work for me to do?'
[Wed Oct 03 18:52:11 2007] Councillor Evinthas says, 'Certainly.' Evinthas hands you a list. 'Which item would you like detail about?'
[Wed Oct 03 18:52:11 2007] - [D1] Nothing on that list looks appealing.

Any idea what might be wrong?

Possible to have "To play in the forest" taken out of my journal :hmph:

It's still in the journal even though I failed. I talked to all the council peeps in shadowdale the scout in whisperling and rinbo himself and they are all haters because rinbo lead me to my death.

I don't like seeing it in journal, for it reminds me of bad times.

You can move quests to the inactive section of journal. That's what it's there for :)

A friends been in WPL for over 2 and a half hours and he's found none of the ground spawns. now I know the repop timers been extended but a repop of over 2 1/2 hours is a bit much.

It really isn't. CoI quests aren't in a vaccuum: they have to be as long of a grind as the SC quests, and part of that means bottlenecks. There are 4 spawns for each item, 16 spawns overall, and some are easier to find than others. The rest is up to players to figure out.

Bits 'n' Pieces wouldn't be so bad if they didn't disappear when you grab the same item twice...which means another 3ish(?) hour respawn and nobody benefits from that item. It would be nice if the 4 items could have different groundspawn looks, whether they make sense or not, so you know what you'd be picking up.

Items are lore you can't pick up the same item twice. And i'm not sure if they all have different graphics but the name is enough. If you found one and are having trouble finding it again think it out. Use a map

Throwing in this bad boy for people who can't find the right smilie

What hes saying is when you pick one of them up, it deletes it if you already have that one. So the next person has to wait the 2 1/2 hours for it to pop up again. Basically if you don't know where each one is, and you go around picking up everything you see, you're going to fuck a lot of other people out of doing the quest any time soon.

2 1/2 hours ? I have litteraly been staring at a ground spawn location since 8:43 this morning, it's 11:58 now and still nothing, I also have scouted the other locations that I know of; nothing anywhere. Either they are on a longer timer, or the quest is broken.

I'm thankful the CoI quests were added, but at this point I'd rather be farming something than staring at a fire camp for 3:30+ hours. Shrug.

The repop is only 1.5 hours. Maybe you weren't looking in the right spots, I dunno.
I was. I'm not going to spoil the quest, but I definitely know most of their locations.

I was there for waaay more than 1.5 hours; I gave up at 1:10 pm. 8:43 a.m to 1:10 pm.
