Druid spell idea

Growing Sheild:
Medium duration spell maybe 10 minutes that is stack friendly that gives AC(or HP if you like the idea of a reverse damage sheild better but I think AC has better flavor here) to the target based on number of times the target is damaged per second. I based this on the idea that some plants grow faster when they are cut as a defense mechanisim. Downside to the HP idea is that it would lead to a lot of chat spam and HP fluctuations that could make battles harder to manage(it is easier to proccess that something is not going down as fast than to process something jumping up and down).

This would give druids a niche that they could fill and it could also be possible to make more encounters where you would want a druid. That niche would be situations where you are fighting multiple mobs or fast hitting mobs and need a good healer. And this would allow them to compete with clerics without fighting over who has the biggest fastest heal. The idea is the druid would be reducing the damage the tank is taking so it won't matter as much that their heals don't do as much. This would also make the other healers in the group more effective and gives an additional reason on top of damage sheilds not to attack a druid quickly. This would also help keep a tank safe til a shaman could slow a mob.
 
Maybe not a new spell but you could add The effect to The druid DS line so people may want it over mage's.
 
In raids druid ds is wanted more then mage DS unless you need FR. Outside of raids, the reason why people want druid DS over mage ds is that mage ds lasts way way longer. No change (except a change of duration of course) will tip the balance in favour of druid DS there.
 
mage ds is the only raid "buff" spell mages get... druid have a few other.... dont think their ds needs to be better.
