Primalisy Vylva/Barb blord starter armor quest

So I just spent the better part of two days punching every leopard I could find in the face to find the cords of snow leopard sinew I needed for the barb newbie blord sleeves/shoulders/helm, except in all that time I did not get a one. Has anyone else been able to find these? Is the drop bugged?

I vaguely recall giving up that quest line because drops were hard to come by, though if it was that specific item or not is lost to the ether. Regardless, your time is probably better spent doing almost anything other than newbie armor quests unless they happen to have a good story (Newport Enchanters?).
