New Armor models Tested working.
clicking through pets Tested working.
does this client have the advanced looting system?
edit: does it support /hidec always?
Is this a client from scratch? Or what client is it building off of? How is it going to be implemented?
Would it be possible to narrow down the source of lag for some people who use windows 10?
I believe I'm experiencing the same thing as this poor guy, except that my european latency has always been 130 ms and the game worked perfectly until some windows update in 2017 that I was able to temporarily undo and restrict, but since the primary use of this computer is not SoD, I eventually updated.
I've blocked windows defender, antivirus, logs are off, turning off spell particles and far clip plane does nothing (my comp runs contemporary games smoothly, let alone a 20-y-o game)... but I get insane lag especially in heavily populated zones with effects like Rust, HmalB, that Vah starting zone, and it's worse when I get in the vicinity of the pathing mobs, even if they're obstructed by walls. Should dbg.txt log show up errors as actual error codes? (Mine shows no errors.)
Setting up GFX card parameters (Nvidia 1050Ti) differently had no effect, as did not reinstalling from scratch from Steam, repatching all, updating videocard drivers.
I would be happy to set aside some time to test it with you. Let me know when you are available.
Armor models are kewl
Helmets not showing up, random colored armor, and weapon graphics randomly switching from using the bandolier are at the top of my list. Also not sure if it's a client thing, but seems runspeed is wonky. Like sometimes one person will be slower than another or one will be much faster. Usually zoning resets this. A client that can support more buff slots would be amazing also.
The client can support many buffs slots. But that decision to enable more has more to do with game balance. However the capability is there.
The advance looting system work properly. Still fiddling with your hide corpse always request.
another wish list item for me would be pets that will ignore enemies attacking them to return "back" when you tell them to without having to spam it. basically pet commands should happen when you click them not when the pet feels like it. very important for if you pull multiple mobs and pet hangs back to deal with one and you need to bring the pet back to you for heals.
There is a function within the Client that makes your pets auto assist you without having to press/type pet attack each time. However keep in mind if the pet is dot'd or taking consistanmt damage it will attack the target. I believe you will be a big fan of the auto assist.
Does proper filters = sending exp to one window and crits to another, etc? If so, that would be great!
So far it seems that way working as intended. Once player testing is available ill be sure to follow up with you on this.
did someone Say Dragons?
Think of all the loot you could get out if these!
