Shadowdale bats

There's a halfling in Shadowdale in a cabin with a locked chest. Sorry, can't remember his name. He wants you to clear a path for him by killing bats and bringing him bat wings. Killed a bunch of bats and gave him bat wings. He gave em' right back. Something else supposed to be happening?
 
I think he just asks for bat wings. I don't remember seeing any fancy name for em'.

I killed about a dozen Shadowdale bats. Saw nothing but regular bat wings. Have you seen them drop another type?
