Training with Bonmig

I started the first part of the ''Training with Bonmig'' quest with my paladin tonight(Ellioth).

Bonmig gives you a shield that you have to level up. I leveled the shield when I tried to gave it back to him, he told me that I still needed to work on my shield skill(sorry don't remember the exact sentence)

After that I looked to the shield and it was back to lvl 0...??

Don't know if I did something wrong but my shield was fully leveld when I gave it to him.

Is it a know issue with this part and/or the other parts of the quest?

That's what I'd guess, but without knowing what he told you, its hard to tell. Check your /cm journal active - you might find a hint in the journal entry (just guessing don't know.) And you should probably go into your eqclient.ini and turn on logging for the future, so you can go back and check what quest givers tell you if you get confused.

Well my Bash Skill is pretty much maxed so I don't think its that.
I'm not on my SoD playing computer right now but I'll check the log tomorow to see if I can find some useful info.
