So this is a complete newbie question, I'm aware.  I don't remember this being in live when I played...so I have absolutely no idea how it works.  When I get a weapon or an item that has: Fire DMG: 2 How does this factor into your damage output and how does it work vs. resists? Thanks =P

RESOLVED...finally. Got a response from GM in game and he helped me clear up the situation...which was my own idiotic mistake. I guess the SoD login server will let you log into an account that doesn't even exist...so you could make up any name and password, and as long as the name wasn't in...

it's possible, but that wouldn't delete my character like you said. I defend the name though. He is a Shaman and in a kind of native american tradition, should be able to use something like that. You know...Runningbear, Dances With Wolves...yadda yadda. I'm not making a big deal out of it...

I have tried Ramblers suggestion on two different computers and the account still has no character. I really think this is something that a GM is going to need to fix, if he hasn't been erased for good.

I don't think so...I mean, he is a froglock. It is a good RP name for a frog (toadstool...hopping) and no GM said anything about it before. Even if his name was nerfed, gosh danget, he didn't deserve to die! ;(

checked again tonight and character is still missing. yesterday was the first time I'd tried to log into the account since WR went down...I've tried it on two different computers as well.

do the manual patch...if it is freezing on a certain item in the patch it's not a firewall issue. I don't know any further than that, but i'm having the same problem with my patcher, different file however. I downloaded the patch files and got the game to run that way.

well I got around it by downloading the manual patch files I found links for in another post. Still can't use the patcher, but I can get into game using "patchme" script on my shortcut.

Ok, I've tried deleting the file, creating a blank file, downloading the file from vidiotmaps.com and re-patching to live. Either way, every time I try to patch SoD I freeze at that file, "erudnext_1.txt" and can't get past it. Any other ideas out there? I haven't seen any other posts...
