If I remember right, upping the damage on arrows by 1 translates into 10% more damage... I.e. a shot that deals 100 damage to a mob with a given bow and 1 damage arrow would deal 110 damage to that mob if the same bow was used, but with a 2 damage arrow instead... is that correct? I suck...
