Today around 8pm I have been getting this....
Updating patcher failed. Reason: could not create WebClient instance: The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel.
Patcher update failed

I was playing most of the day np. Maybe some has come across this. Thanks.
 
As a temporary workaround you may skip patching by creating a shortcut to eqgame.exe within your SoD directory. On the target line add the phrase "patchme" without quotes to bypass the built-in patcher.

You cannot. This problem is server-side. If you've patched already since the latest release you should already have the correct file versions and can follow the directions I posted for the workaround to play safely on the server.

I have notified the development staff and when the problem is rectified you may resume using the patch utility.
 
Disregard - the certificates have been updated and this is no longer topical.
